helix glb <command>helix glb add-normals
Write smooth NORMALs into every mesh primitive that has none (authored normals are never touched). A GLB without NORMAL renders faceted everywhere; hard edges up to the crease angle stay crisp
helix glb add-normals [options] <file>| Argument | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
file | yes | binary glTF (.glb) |
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
-o, --output <file> | where to write the repaired GLB (default: overwrite <file> in place) |
--crease-angle <degrees> | edges sharper than this stay hard (default 40: keeps 45 degree bevels and panel lines, smooths curved surfaces) |
--check | only report; exit 1 when a primitive lacks NORMAL, write nothing |
--json | machine-readable report |
helix glb render
Render a GLB to a PNG with headless Chromium so you can LOOK at it: one 3/4 view, or --sheet for hero, front, side and top. A quick orientation/proportion check, not platform visual QA (use helix item visual-qa).
helix glb render [options] <file> <out>| Argument | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
file | yes | binary glTF (.glb) |
out | yes | PNG to write |
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
--sheet | 2x2 contact sheet: hero, front, side, top |
--size <px> | edge of the image in pixels (default 960) (default "960") |
